Biography
Gorkem is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research. His background is in Life Sciences, having completed his BSc and MSc degrees at the University of Melbourne. His prior research engagements include assessing the role of epigenetics on anti-epileptic drug teratogenicity; investigating the progression of quit intention to quit attempt among cigarette smokers in Thailand; and looking at how electronic cigarette use can affect interest in smoking conventional cigarettes among adolescents.
