Biography
Niloufer's research analyses how technological change undermines the relevance and effectiveness of laws, especially in the fields of intellectual property, telecommunications and media, and how legal frameworks can be designed to support longevity. Additionally, her work examines the operation of cyber crime laws and considers legal means of protecting internet privacy. She is presently the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Technology Policy and Law and the Telecommunications Section Editor of the Australian Journal of Competition and Consumer Law. Prior to joining the Macquarie Law School, Niloufer worked in the publishing sector and practiced as a solicitor at Ashurst (then Blake Dawson Waldron) and worked as a legal clerk at Allens (then Allen Allen & Hemsely).
