Biography
Dr Qin Guo is currently also an Honorary Professor of South China Normal University. She began her academia career in 1982 as a lecturer in physics, and moved to the field of Educational Technology in 1987, and then to International Communication in 2004. She was the Head of Department of International Communication until 2008, when the department merged into MMCCS. Before working for Macquarie University, she was a Professor of Educational Technology, Deputy Head of Department of Educational Technology and Associate Dean (Research) of Faculty of Educational Sciences at South China Normal University.
Research Interest
Within the discipline of International Communication, Guo's primary research is focused in development communication (including educational communication), intercultural communication and public diplomacy. She has successfully supervised 9 PhD completions.
