Biography
Rein Vesilo was awarded his PhD from the University of Sydney in 1990 and obtained his B. Engineering from the University of NSW. He started work at Macquarie University in 1990 and is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Engineering. His research interests are in network performance modelling, queueing theory and applied probability. His primary research collaborators are at the Australian National University and Carnegie Mellon University. Besides teaching in the Department of Engineering he has also taught in the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He is the representative of the Division of ICS on the University Coursework Studies Committee. He is a member of the IEEE and INFORMS.
