Biography
BSc (Hons) and PhD, University of New England Richard Flood is a Senior Lecturer within the ARC National Key Centre for Geochemical Evolution and Metallogeny of Continents (GEMOC) at Macquarie University, Sydney.
Research Interest
A significant and long term teaching role in the following 100 and 200 level units. GEOS 112 The Planet Earth GEOS 126 Marine Geoscience GEOS 206 Marine Depositional Environments GEOS 207 Field and Laboratory Studies in Geoscience GEOS 226 Introduction to Field Geology Conducted the first two decades of GEOS 373 volcanic geology with both the New Zealand version and the Australian version running in alternate years. Supervised a large number of wonderful Honours students over the years (four being awarded a University Medal including the first ever award to a geoscience graduate) as well as a number of excellent MSc and PhD students a good proportion of the latter going on to become academics.
