Biography
Robert Lindeman is the Network Director of SEALS SSWPS and has been a Laboratory and Clinical Haematologist at the Randwick campus. He is also the Medical Director of the Sydney Cord Blood Bank and is a conjoint Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at the University of New South Wales. Rob has a background in laboratory molecular genetics and a specific interest in clinical and molecular aspects of haemoglobinopathies. He is on the Medical Advisory Committee of NATA, on both the Scientific and Ethics Advisory Committees of ARCBS, and on the Haematology and Cancer Advisory Committees of the RCPA. Rob’s undergraduate medical degree and PhD were from the University of Sydney, and he is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. As the Network Director of the South Eastern Area Laboratory Service, Robert Lindeman is a collaborating partner on the NHMRC Partnership Grant on test result communication, management and follow-up which will investigate how technology can be utilised to reduce cases of incorrect and missed test results in hospitals and standardise the quality of reporting.
