Biography
My general research interests are in typical and atypical language and reading development. I am particularly interested in the cognitive and neural processes that underpin the acquisition of phonological and orthographic representations, and how children learn the mappings between the two. A related research interest is in expressive phonology deficits in dyslexia. My work in this area has focused on the acquisition of novel phonological representations, as well as the processes involved in the access and output of stored phonological representations during confrontation and serial rapid naming tasks.
Research Interest
Cognitive psychology; thinking, reasoning, decision making, belief bias, intuitive logic, dual processing, parallel processing, reasoning development, working memory, inhibition, individual differences, hypnosis.
