Biography
Raised in England, Roy Baker worked for ten years at the BBC in London, both as a lawyer and program maker. After leaving the BBC, Roy completed two Masters degrees in media law and international law. Following a period living in Canada, Roy moved to Sydney, becoming Project Director of the National Defamation Research Project, a major study of Australian social attitudes and defamation law. Roy joined Macquarie Law School in 2005, teaching across various areas of Australian, international and European law, as well as jurisprudence.
