Biography
Tim's research focuses on the geomorphology of rivers and wetlands in semiarid and arid landscapes (drylands), and to date he has worked extensively in Australia and parts of Africa. His research seeks to understand the links between fluvial landform change, sediment dynamics, and aquatic ecosystem function in the context of long-term landscape evolution and environmental change. Tim is also involved in international research and training programs for the assessment of soil erosion and sediment transport in catchments using nuclear techniques. Tim’s teaching focuses on environmental earth science, environmental management, and advanced research training for the Master of Research in Environmental Sciences.
