Biography
My research predominantly focuses on the understanding and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in children, adolescents and older adults. I have developed a number of manualised and computerised treatment programs for children and older adults that have been shown to be efficacious in randomised controlled trials including the Cool Kids Anxiety Management Program, Cool Teens and Chilled Out computerised programs for anxious adolescents, and the Ageing Wisely program for comorbid anxiety and depression in older adults. Several of these programs are already used in private and public health settings, and I am passionate about translation of evidence-based programs into the community. I have a particular interest in understanding and treating anxiety and depression in older adults, and developing prevention programs for dementia in at-risk older adults.
