Biography
Dr Samuel Goodwin is currently Acting Executive Director of Medical and Clinical Services with the Central Australian Health Service in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. He is a member of the Northern Territory Postgraduate Medical Council, and the former Director of the Board of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Prior to its devolution into the Department of Health, Dr Goodwin was a Director of the General Practice Education and Training Board. He is currently a Director of the Health Network Northern Territory Board. Dr Goodwin maintains his clinical practice at Tennant Creek Hospital and is a GP anaesthetist at Alice Springs Hospital. He has spent a decade training in remote areas, aspiring to the principles of rural generalism and specalises in health system governance.
