Biography
Matthew has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1990, and has performed in a variety of senior management roles for over 20 years. Matthew most recently was Chief Operating Officer & Company Secretary at Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, which was his first role within the NFP sector. Prior to this role, Matthew was a senior executive involved with the introduction of the Opal public transport ticketing system in NSW. In Matthew’s role as CFO & Company Secretary at MIA, Matthew leads a small finance team responsible for the entire financial operations and financial reporting of MIA, including MIA’s many financial affiliations with other research institutions. As Company Secretary, Matthew provides ongoing governance and risk management support to the Board and Finance Committee and ensures MIA satisfies and complies with its various legislative requirements.
