Biography
Biography: Hometown: Grand Ledge, Michigan Why did you choose to become part of Michigan State University Neurology? I chose to become a part of MSU for my fellowship in Epilepsy/Neurophysiology because I was fortunate enough to complete my Neurology residency through MSU. During that time I was able to gain an appreciation for the strong academic nature of MSU along with the excellent training that MSU provided. The mentorship and opportunities are second to none. There is a sense of collegial sense of comradery and a feeling of family that pervades throughout the program. Everyone is appreciated, their individual strengths are recognized, and guidance is based on such. At MSU the training I had fully prepared me to become an excellent neurologist. Given this, I felt that continuing my training at MSU for epilepsy/neurophysiology was easy choice. The epileptologists each provide a different approach to understanding epilepsy management along with mastery of epilepsy and neurophysiology. If you were not a doctor, what would you have chosen as a career? I would have been an accountant or be involved in economics/ business Extracurricular interests and activities: Politics, Movies, Hiking, Camping, Boating (anything involving water)
