Research Interest

 Research Interests:  EFC6260 (TOPIC): An international, multi-center, randomized, double-masked, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to determine the efficacy and safety of two-year treatment with teriflunomide 7 mg once daily and 14 mg once daily versus placebo in patients with a first clinical episode suggestive of multiple sclerosis. (Sanofi-Aventis) EFC10531 (TOWER): A multi-center, double-masked, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study of the efficacy and safety of teriflunomide in patients with relapsing multiple sclerosis. (Sanofi-Aventis) OCTAGON: A randomized, double-masked, placebo-controlled, multi-center study of the effects of glatiramer acetate on the retinal nerve fiber layer and visual function in patients with a first episode of optic neuritis. (TEVA Neuroscience) A prospective case crossover study to assess whether PDE5 inhibitor exposure in men with erectile dysfunction increases the risk for development of non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). (Bayer) Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Treatment Trial: a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled study of weight reduction and/or low sodium diet plus acetazolamide vs diet plus placebo in subjects with idiopathic intracranial hypertension with mild visual loss.
