Biography
Biography: Dr. Demel earned her medical degree and doctorate in Neuroscience through the DO, PhD program at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. She completed Neurology Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center followed by a two-year clinical and research fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Research areas of interest include: stroke epidemiology, including racial and gender disparities; sex differences in stroke and stroke genetics.
