Biography
Allison is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. Her nursing research involves two interrelated areas: quality use of medicines and chronic illness management, having recently completed an ARC Australian Post-Doctoral Industry Fellowship (2007-2010) investigating ways to enhance medicine adherence in people with co-existing diabetes, kidney disease and hypertension. Her distinct field of comorbidity research across different points of care has highlighted the fragmented nature of health care and communication gaps between health professionals and consumers, which continues to drive many of her academic interests.
