Mihirika Pincha Baduge

Biography

Mihirika Pincha Baduge is an energetic person who accepts challenges and works for results and believe in working harmoniously with people for common goals. It was my ambition to be in a profession that would relieve pain and suffering of sick people and to do this in the best possible manner. My aim is to be a leader in nursing field bringing innovation and the best technology to the caring for the sick. I have successfully completed a Master of Nursing degree with a distinction average from Monash University- Australia and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Special) degree with a second class upper division from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura-Sri Lanka. I have working experience as a Staff Nurse in a Medical Intensive Care Unit and teaching experience as a Temporary Demonstrator in Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura- Sri Lanka. I completed Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC30208) at Careers Australia. Since 2013, I am working as a Personal Care Worker/ Team Leader in Camberwell Gardens, Gold Age Australia PTY LTD and experienced working in Australian healthcare setting. I did a publication on “Emergency nurses’ perceptions of emergency department preparedness for an ebola outbreak: A qualitative descriptive study” in Australasian Emergency Nursing Journal (2017, http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aenj.2017.02.003). I have successfully completed NMBA approved Bridging programme from Education Training & Employment Australia Pty Ltd, Australia and registered as a RN with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. I obtained SLNC registration in 01st of February 2016.
