Biography
Carmel Delzoppo is the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) research coordinator, and the Data, Quality, and Audit team leader. She has 16 years' experience as a PICU nurse and 14 years in research and data. She is a committee member of the Paediatric Study Group (PSG), Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS). Her current focus is to develop, facilitate and oversee the unit quality program and coordinate the unit's research projects. She provides advice and assistance to the unit's staff members and research associates and facilitates multidisciplinary educations sessions on the unit data and quality program and research projects.
Research Interest
cardiac disease, acquired brain injury, lung injury, sepsis, bronchiolitis, sedation practice, extracorporeal support, outcome of PICU patients and kidney (renal) replacement therapy.
