Biography
Dr Hannah Woolhouse is Co-Leader of the Health and Resilience Stream in the Healthy Mothers Healthy Families research group, and Honorary Research Fellow at the Royal Women's Hospital (RWH). Hannah is a registered Psychologist with over 15 years research experience in longitudinal and intervention research focusing on maternal mental health. She completed a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in 2011, including undertaking one of the first international evaluations of a mindfulness-based intervention for eating disorders. Hannah is a Chief Investigator on the Maternal Health Study, and has published extensively on women's mental health, intimate partner abuse and sexual health after childbirth. She is currently leading the team undertaking 10-year follow-up interviews with mothers and children in the cohort. As an Honorary Research Fellow at the RWH, she has extended her interest in mindfulness to undertake a pilot study of an antenatal mindfulness intervention to reduce depression and anxiety.
