Biography
Dr Heather Stanton is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with experience in metalloproteinase research. She studied for her PhD at Strangeways Research Laboratory in Cambridge, UK, focussing on activation of the matrix metalloproteinases. Dr Stanton returned to Australia in 1998 to join Amanda Fosang's group at the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne, where she has developed expertise in cartilage biology and an interest in the ADAMTS metalloproteinases. She became an Honorary Fellow with the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute at its inception in 2000 and currently works part-time with dual roles in research and research administration.
