Biography
I am a computer scientist and I have been a full-time academic at Murdoch university for over 18 years. I have international management experience spanning over 30 years in academia and business. Formerly the Dean of the School of Information Technology, a member of the Federal Governments Information Technology Industry Innovation Council (ITIIC) and the President of the Australian Council of Deans of ICT (ACDICT). I am a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society (FACS CP) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM). I was recently appointed as the Australian representative on the Standards and Accreditation Council (SAC) of the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP, http://www.ifip.org/ ), International Professional Practice Partnership (IP3), June 2013.
Research Interest
I have a broad interest in research nowadays. Originally my research focus was on computer vision and pattern recognition During supervision of research students I have sampled many more areas of research.
