Biography
Anthony Armson is a Senior lecturer in Genetics, Immunology and Microbiology in the School of Health Professions at Murdoch University. Currently he is unit coordinator for CHI205 (Genetics, Immunology and Microbiology), OBRD251 (Wellbeing OUA), CHI509 Public Health and for BRD251 (Wellbeing). He has a science degree with honours and a PhD in biochemistry. Prior to completing his science studies he worked as a registered nurse and maintain his nursing registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. As a nurse and a scientist he enjoy linking the biochemistry theory to real life examples. In 2008 he won the Vice Chancellors Excellence in Teaching award. He recently moved to the School of Health Professions from The School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2011.
Research Interest
Protozoan biochemistry and Ross River virus host/virus interactions.
