Tendon injury and tendon healing – emphasis on the biological treatment of tendon and ligament injuries in horses using stem cell therapy, bone marrow and platelet rich plasma for example. Evaluating surgical treatments for tendon injury too, including tenorraphy (surgical repair). Treatments for joint disease – in particular the use of intra-articular therapy for cartilage damage such as glucocorticoids and conditioned serum. Also research into cartilage resurfacing of critically sized articular defects using biological scaffolds with or without cell-based therapies.
