Biography
I am a Lecturer in the Clinical Legal Education program within the School of Law. The program is associated with SCALES Community Legal Centre. I supervise students in the clinical program. In addition to undertaking supervision, I am a practising solicitor and registered migration agent. My practice is predominately in the area of human rights, including refugee and migration law and family violence. Previously I was the unit coordinator for the units Australian Visa System (LLB503 – now LLM503) and Migration Law in Practice (LLB505 – now LLM555).
Research Interest
My current research focus is in the area of migration law, specifically looking at the impact of family violence and migration law. I also have a particular interest in the refugee claims of children. I have also been involved in a comparative study which compared migration law policies across countries and regions over a 30 year period.
