Biography
Murray Adams is an Associate Professor in Haematology and Academic Chair of Laboratory Medicine in the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences. He completed his B.Sc (Medical Science) in 1992 and B.Sc with First Class Honours in 1993, both at Curtin University of Technology. After working as medical scientist in the Department of Laboratory Services at Royal Perth Hospital and completing a PhD at Curtin in 1999
Research Interest
Investigation of haemostatic abnormalities that contribute to the development of blood clots (thrombosis). Blood clots can develop in people with a range of diseases including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, kidney disease and a range of autoimmune conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or ‘lupus’) and the antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).
