Biography
I joined the Murdoch School of Law in July 2009. I obtained my Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2002 from the University of Notre Dame Australia and completed my Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2006. I was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2006 and to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2007. Prior to joining Murdoch I worked for six years as both an Associate Lecturer and Lecturer in the School of Law at the University of Notre Dame Australia. During this time I taught in the area of Equity and Trusts, Tort Law and was the Unit Coordinator of Administrative Law for a number of years. As well as teaching in Notre Dame’s Bachelor of Laws programme I taught in the University’s Juris Doctor programme, Graduate Certificate in Building and Construction Law and guest lectured at Curtin University. I was also the Associate Editor of the University of Notre Dame Australia Law Review and of the International Trade and Business Law Review. I also received a number of Letters of Commendation for my teaching at Notre Dame. I was an officer of the Corruption and Crime Commission for almost two years where I was worked as an Assessor and Reviewer and as a Lawyer in the Commission’s Operations Directorate. I have also worked at law firms Allen & Jasnic Lawyers (formerly William R Allen & Associates), Clavey Legal and for the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia.
Research Interest
My main research interest is in the area of administrative law; in particular in the area of government oversight and corruption agencies as well as in local government. I also have an interest in research in the area of tort law. I am currently undertaking my PhD in the area of administrative law and government oversight bodies.
