Biography
Shirley commenced her appointment as a Senior Lecturer in the Murdoch Law School in Feb 2015. Prior to this, she was a Senior Lecturer in the Law School at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. Shirley has also taught law at the University of Melbourne, Monash University and Deakin University. In 2014, Shirley was awarded a visiting fellowship at the University of Cambridge in order to pursue her research interests. Prior to entering academia, Shirley worked as a lawyer for the Office of the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman. In May 2011, Shirley was awarded her doctoral degree from Monash University. Her thesis focused on competition law and the misuse of market power provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
