Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology in the School of Psychology and Exercise Science. I received my BSc (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and completed my PhD in carbohydrate metabolism at the same institution. I have worked in private industry as a consultant and have taught on a casual basis within the College and University level since 1998. Prior to taking up a full-time faculty appointment at Murdoch University, I spent three and a half years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise Science at Syracuse University, New York. I am a member of the Western Australian committee for Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as well as the Australian Society for Medical Research. My area of specialisation is metabolism, specifically carbohydrate metabolism.
