Biography
Chris Beddall has joined MWH as the NZ Transportation Strategy and Business Development Leader. Based in Auckland, Chris is responsible for the growth, direction and development of the transportation business in New Zealand. Chris has more than 17 years’ experience across a broad spectrum of engineering related disciplines and has worked in client, consultant and contractor roles within the public and private sector. Prior to joining MWH, Chris was the National Development Manager for Transfield Services in NZ. Chris also worked for a number of years as the Regional Operations Manager at the NZ Transport Agency where he was involved in the development of procurement strategies, standards and procedures, setting construction standards for road construction projects, and integrating high profile capital projects into operations. He also procured and delivered a number of high-profile transportation projects while with the NZTA. Chris has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from City University London and a post graduate Diploma in Management from Auckland University and is a previous member of the Austroads Asset Task Force. Before moving to New Zealand, Chris spent more than 11 years in the British Army as a Royal Engineer where he was awarded a Queen’s military service medal.
