Biography
Domenico Sciacovelli was the recipient of the Best Industry Dissertation Award delivered by the Politecnico of Bari during the 56th National Congress of the Italian Engineers Association. Domenico obtained his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering with honours in 2010 and with a specialisation in Energy and Machines. He joined MWH in June 2011, as part of “RIDEF“, a Masters in Renewable Energies, Energy Efficiency and Environment, he completed on 25th October. His award-winning dissertation focuses on the “Thermal-economic analysis of innovative gas turbine plants using agricultural biomass to produce electrical power in the Mediterranean countries” and was completed in collaboration with the firm Ansaldo Caldaie. One year later, it was presented to the Italian Engineers Association by Domenico’s tutor, Prof. Sergio Camporeale, as recognition to his hard work and talent.
