Biography
Mr. Riggs is President Emeritus of The Community Foundation of Louisville, where he served as President and CEO from 1991 to 2008. Under his leadership, the Foundation’s asset base increased from $43 million to over $300 million. The Foundation granted over $27 million in fiscal year 2008. Mr. Riggs has been recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in the community foundation field. He served two terms on the board of the national Council on Foundations, and two terms as national chair of the community foundation field. In 2005, he was one of five U.S. community foundation leaders appointed as a Fellow of the Transatlantic Community Foundation Fellowship, an exchange program created by a partnership of the King Baudouin Foundation of Belgium and the United States, and The German Marshall Fund of the United States.
