Biography

Andrew Terry is Senior Packaging Designer & Finished Artist at Natures Organics Pty Ltd I am highly motivated and able to work both autonomously and in team environments. I have been trained in the 'old school' way, by initially conceptualizing through illustration prior to turning to the Mac to render up each concept. This way of working helps me develop a clearer understanding of each design concept, and the illustration allows me to tackle all issues with each design through design architecture, hierarchy and composition. This approach always ends up with a well thought out design solution with reasoning behind each attribute of the design. A keen understanding of 3D attributes such as highlights and shadows allows all of my conceptual Mac renders to look very realistic, and help all clients to understand what each design would look like once completed, at an early design stage. A thorough understanding of Pre-press and Finished Art has allowed my skill set to become a one-stop-shop when it comes to design solutions. Extensive experience with press approvals, substrates, varnish layers, white plates, shrink sleeves, paper labels & IML Labelling over the years has also allowed me to understand the printing process, and minimize any complications between Finished Art and the production of artwork. My knowledge and skill sets have expanded into the moulding sector and as a result, I have a solid understanding of various polymers associated with blow moulding, such as PET, RPET, HDPE & RHDPE. I also understand effects that can be achieved when moulding bottles, and I strive to integrate that aspect into every FMCG project I encounter.
