Biography
"Dr. Ilung Pranata is a Conjoint Lecturer in Information Technology (IT) at the University of Newcastle, Australia. His research interests include Machine Learning & Data Science (Big Data - Predictive Analysis), Intelligent Systems (E-Commerce Rating, Recommender System/Collaborative Filtering and Reputation System/Trust) and Network Security (Intrusion & Malware Detection). In addition to his own research, Dr. Pranata has been working closely with Dr. Melinda Hutchesson from the Priority Research Center in Physical Activity & Nutrition at the Be Positive Be Healthe Project (i.e. a research project assisting young Australian women to maintain their weight loss goal) and with Professor Willy Susilo from the Computer Security Research Centre at University of Wollongong. In total, Dr. Pranata has published over 30 peer-reviewed research articles at various international conferences and journals. Prior to working in academia, Dr. Pranata has worked in IT industry and provided consultancies mainly in banking and manufacturing sectors. He holds several industry certifications."
