Biography
Jianglong Yu obtained his PhD degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Newcastle in 2003. In the following two years, he worked in Monash University as a postdoc research fellow. He was offered an academic position in 2005 in Shenyang Aerospace University and acted the director of Thermal Energy Research Centre. During 2007-2008, he worked with Prof Terry Wall at the University of Newcastle as a research fellow during which he was involved in a number of international collaborative projects. In 2010, he was offered the position as the director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Coal and Coking Technology of Liaoning Province at the University of Science and Technology Liaoning (USTL). In the same year, he was awarded the Excellent Researchers of Shenyang City and won the grant support of the University Talents Program of Liaoning Province. Since March 2011, he has acted as the head of the School of Chemical Engineering at USTL. He is also a member of the PPCC (People's Political Consultative Conference) of Liaoning Province. In January 2014, he took the academic position as an Associate Professor at Chemical Engineering at University of Newcastle.
