Biography
"Dr Luo is a senior lecturer in information technology at the University of Newcastle. He received Bachelor and Master degrees from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and PhD degree from the University of Sydney, all in Electrical Engineering. His main research interests include image processing, computer vision, machine learning, cyber security and media data mining. His diverse research focus has led him to conduct studies in areas ranging from medical imaging for computer-aided diagnoses, to computer vision for intelligent driving system, and machine learning for enhancing cybersecurity. Dr Luo has lectured and developed curricula for courses in computer science, electrical engineering and information engineering. He currently teaches into the courses related to database management, digital media, system design and web design. He has supervised many honours, Masters, and PhD students."
