Biography
Associate Professor Helen Warren-Forward is a medical physicist employed in the School of Health Sciences (SHS), Faculty of Health and Medicine at The University of Newcastle with teaching responsibilities in the School of Health Sciences and School of Physics. Her contribution to the University is one of significant and sustained leadership. She has held major leadership roles within the School and Faculty and have contributed to University policy (especially research higher degrees) through membership of University committees. It is through this leadership that she is acknowledged by her peers for the innovation that she brings to clinical practice education and research. Associate Professor Warren-Forward is a positive role model to academics (especially females) within the School of Health Sciences through her leadership skills and commitment to the University. In the wider community, she is an internationally recognized leading researcher in the field of radiation dosimetry and protection and has a growing reputation as a researcher whose goal is to improve the early diagnosis of women at risk of breast cancer.
