Biography
Michael Nossal is Chief Development Officer of Newcrest Mining Ltd., since 6 July 2015. He joins Newcrest from MMG Limited where, for the past five years, he was Executive General Manager Business Development. He has also held executive roles with En+ Group, Macquarie Bank, WMC Resources, Normandy Mining and Kenmare Resources. His experience base is across commodities including gold and base metals, and he has worked across multiple geographies including Peru, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Russia, UK, Ireland, Turkey, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, USA and France. Mr Nossal has more than 25 years’ executive experience with resources companies both within Australia and internationally and has worked extensively in the gold sector. Mike holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science.
