Ms Hewitt has a BSc (Econ Hons) from the University College in London, UK, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant FCA in 1982. In her executive career she worked for Arthur Andersen & Co., Gartmore Investment Management Ltd, UK, Citicorp Venture Capital (now CVC), 3i Group and Smith & Nephew plc, UK.
