Biography
Narendra Shah is an accomplished healthcare executive who has demonstrated an ability to deliver mission-critical results by creating environments in which pragmatic solutions emerge and thrive to improve quality of care. He has over 30 years of senior management experience in diverse settings including a research organization, teaching and community hospitals in Toronto and Ottawa, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and as the Chief Operating Officer of the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network from 2007 to 2013. He has successfully executed major pioneering strategies, leading the implementation of new organizations, mergers and reviews of complex hospital and local health care systems and program integration. His leadership and experience resulted in him being seconded to assist the Health Services Restructuring Commission in 1997-99 to create health service plans for hospitals in two academic health science centres in Ontario. In 2003 he was seconded by the Ministry of Health to lead a team that supported two independent commissioners appointed by the Ontario Cabinet to review Ontario hospitals governance, management and financial capacity..
