Lynne Emmerton

Biography

Professor Lynne Emmerton specialises in Pharmacy Practice research and teaching, and was appointed to Curtin University in August 2011 following two decades of academic experience in three Australian and New Zealand universities.  Her passion is the safe and effective use of medicines in the community, achieved by her research into the provision of specialist services by pharmacists, improved relationships between health professionals, appropriate availability of medicines without prescription, studies of consumer behaviour, and improvement of consumers’ health literacy and self care.  Her teaching inspires pharmacy students to become professional, ethical and effective health-care providers.
