Biography
Samantha graduated from the University of Manchester (UK) in 1999 with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. Samantha’s clinical areas of interest are neurological physiotherapy & clinical pilates. From 2003 Samantha specialised in neurology working with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Brain Injury, Motor Neurone Disease & Muscular Dystrophy in hospital & community settings. For 15 years whilst in the UK & Southern Ireland Samantha was involved in supervising & educating undergraduate & post graduate physiotherapy students for several universities. Whilst in Ireland Samantha used her physiotherapy background to develop & deliver healthcare training & development. Since her initial training in Pilates in 2000 Samantha has enjoyed integrating Pilates into 1:1 or group sessions. Samantha has completed post graduate Pilates training in mat work, advanced mat work, equipment and pre & post-natal Pilates. Samantha joined the team here at Performance rehab in May 2016 part time as she also continues to work in geriatric physiotherapy.
