Biography

Dr Pearly Khaw is a Radiation Oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, where she is involved in the management of gynaecological cancers, with a special interest in endometrial cancer. She has been involved in the management of gynae-oncology patients since early 2006. Dr Khaw is currently involved in the clinical trialPORTEC-3, not only as a clinical researcher but also co-ordinating the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance Program for the trial, through the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG). With a developing research profile, Dr Khaw has presented at a number of local and national oncology conferences, both peer-reviewed presentations and as an invited speaker. She also has a growing number of peer-reviewed publications and also a reviewer for the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer, Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, and Practical Radiation Oncology. Dr Khaw is currently involved in the ANZ Gynae-Oncology Group (ANZGOG) as a member of the Research Advisory Committee, Quality Assurance Committee and the Endometrial Tumour Working Group. She is also the inaugural convenor of the ANZGOG Radiation Oncology Workshops, a forum for the development of new projects and ideas utilising Radiation Oncology. Dr Khaw is involved in the formation of the Special Interest Group for Radiation Oncologists practising in the area of Gynae-Oncology through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. She is currently a member of Cancer Australias €œNational Gynaecological Cancer Advisory Committee and has previously been involved in the National Gynaecological Cancer Workforce Initiative.
