Biography
Dr Siva Sarasanandarajah is a Senior Medical Physicist at Peter Mac and has extensive clinical and academic experience in medical physics at various leading Cancer Institutes and Universities in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Sweden, Canada and Sri Lanka. Siva has obtained a PhD in medical physics from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He has been worked and trained at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand, Lund University Malmo Hospital in Sweden, Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre and Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada, National Institute of Radiological Sciences and Chiba Cancer and Research Institute in Japan. Siva is also holds an Adjunct Senior Lecturer position at the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, Monash University and Dicipline of Medical Radiation Sciences at RMIT University. Siva also contributing to develop course materials in medical radiation physics and supervising PhD research students. He is also delivering lectures to radiation oncology registrars and medical radiation science students. Siva has authored and co-authored numerous research papers in international peer reviewed scientific journals and is a co-inventor of two international patents. He has been invited by the International Atomic Energy Agency to conduct workshops for oncologists and physicists from developing countries and and contributes to developing medical physics education and training programs in Sri Lankan Universities and hospitals. Siva has been a recipient of number of internationally competitive awards, scholarships and fellowships.
