Biography
Elissa graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2008. She undertook a new graduate rotational program with Queensland Health before spending some time pursuing travel and recreational sporting interests in North America. Subsequently, she moved into private practice with experience spanning Brisbane, London, and the French Alps. Elissa has undertaken further training in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates as well as a certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, amongst other post-graduate courses that she integrates into her practice. Her special interest areas include spinal rehabilitation, the application of neuroscience theory in the management of persistent pain and biomechanical evaluation of lower limb overuse injuries. In her spare time, Elissa will be out chasing wind and waves on her kite, exploring local parks, climbing up mountains or riding down them.
