Biography
Originally from County Wicklow in Ireland, Riain graduated with an honours degree in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin. During his studies, Riain spent three years working with league of Ireland soccer team Bray Wanderers, as well as spending some time overseas in the U.S.A. working in private practice. Before joining the team at PHG, Riain worked in one of the most prestigious Physiotherapy and S&C private practices in Dublin, as well as holding the role of head physiotherapist to the Offaly senior GAA team. Here, Riain developed his hands on Physiotherapeutic skills as well as specialising in exercise-based rehabilitation. Riain believes that giving clients the tools to successfully manage their condition themselves is the key to long term health and wellbeing. Outside of work, Riain maintains a keen interest in all things sports, health and fitness, having been actively involved in a number of sports throughout his life. A self confessed ‘coffee snob’, he is embracing his new surroundings among Melbourne’s coffee culture. ‘Riain’ is a direct translation of the surname ‘Ryan’ in Gaeilge, and also means King!
