Biography
tephen H. Wise is a managing director and head of the Global Health Care team at The Carlyle Group. He is based in New York. Since joining Carlyle in 2006, Mr. Wise has invested approximately $4 billion of equity in health care companies around the world. He serves as a member of the board of directors of PPD, HCR-Manor Care, Grupo Qualicorp, Healthscope Ltd., Multiplan (prior), and Lifecare. He also serves on the board of Qualicaps Group, a portfolio company of Carlyle Japan Partners. Mr. Wise serves on the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health.
