Biography
My professional career spans almost eighteen years in banking and finance, having worked in various complex and demanding roles during this time, with a relatively recent move into the HSE sector. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Health, Safety + Environment) from Curtin University in early 2015, and am currently completing a post-graduate diploma in Environmental Health. I am employed by Prensa Pty Ltd, as a Health, Safety and Environmental Consultant. My primary fields of interest are indoor air quality, mould, dust and food safety. During my studies I completed a 100+ hour professional placement with CSBP in Kwinana, where I undertook a review and risk assessment of chemicals and other materials held at their site, commencing with the sodium cyanide operations. I have also held a position with Curtin University as a Research Assistant undertaking industrial hygiene observations relating to a research study in conjunction with Safe Work Australia. My skills include: - Well-developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills; - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams of all sizes, including having led various sized teams; - Use of Industrial Hygiene equipment including calibration, placement and use of various monitoring devices, both static and personal monitoring, including noise, dust, vibration, temperature, light and gas exposures; - Expert in Microsoft Office suite of programmes, with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel; - Basic proficiency in IBM SPSS Statistics 22; - Excellent report writing skills, including risk assessments, incident investigations and presentation of these reports to senior management; and - High-level data-mining and research capabilities.
