Biography
Robert has been at the leading edge of engineering design for many years in both biomedical and electrical engineering and has over 40 years experience in the electronics industry. A graduate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology he has a BA in Electrical Engineering, followed by a Master of Science MSc. He is a Foundation Member of the Institution for Biomedical Engineering, FIE (Aust) Fellow of the Institute of Engineers ,CP Eng (Biomedical) Member of the College of Biomedical Engineer and Chartered Professional Engineer, MSMBE Member of Society for Medical & Biological Engineering, Member of the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of NSW and MTAD - Life Member of Technical Aid for the Disabled. Robert will be the first one to point out that engineering is first and foremost about problem solving and not technology for technology’s sake. This thinking has been applied in all his roles. Robert is fluent in English, French, German and Arabic.
