Biography
Istvan Udvaros joined Cristal Therapeutics in 2017 as Chief Medical Officer. He is a board certified oncologist with extensive early stage clinical development experience. Dr. Udvaros’ most recent position since 2014 was executive medical director and project director of oncology at SGS Clinical Research in Mechelen, Belgium. In this role he was responsible for the teams who supported clients with medical, feasibility and organizational aspects of their clinical trials and product development plans. Previously he worked 6 years at PRA Early Development Services as director of clinical operations. During his clinical carreer as an ear, nose, and throat specialist and clinical oncologist Istvan Udvaros’ focus was on head and neck cancer. Following a clinical pharmacology training, he became head of PRA’s Phase I Unit in Budapest between 2011-14. Istvan Udvaros received a MD and MSc from the Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary.
