Biography
Dr John (Jack) Ayerbe graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1969. In 1970 he traveled to Europe and practiced in the U.K. and Ireland. In 1974 he returned to Australia and established Newtown Veterinary Clinic in Geelong. That practice now employs six veterinarians. In 1986 Dr Ayerbe became a founding director of MaST Australia an international training and development organization and served as Chairman for a number of years. As well as being a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Dr Ayerbe brings a wide range of experience to QBiotics, including veterinary medicine, veterinary product development, strategic planning and business and human resource management. Over time Dr Ayerbe has been involved in a number of community activities including school councils, animal welfare organisations, serving as an elected councilor on local government and many other areas. In recognition for his services to the RSPCA Dr Ayerbe was made a life member in 1995 and in 2000 was presented with a Meritorious Service award. Since 1980 Dr Ayerbe has served on a number of Animal Ethics Committees and currently lectures in that discipline for the Victorian Bureau of Animal Welfare.
